Celebrate Opera Week 2019
All are invited to attend the special events planned...
October 25- November 3, 2019
The Erwin H. Johnson Memorial Fund, Inc., is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit corporation supporting and promoting opera in Western New York and especially the idea of a dedicated performing arts space for opera and ballet.
We are honored to again be the coordinating organizer/promoter of Celebrate National Opera Week 2019 in the WNY and Niagara Region.
We hope that our community service work and schedule of special concerts, lectures and entertaining celebrations to commemorate National Opera Week in our area, will not only inspire the young and old alike, but will also strengthen the sense of community through the universal language of Music.
We are proud to say that our 2018 celebration broke records for attendance and musical organization participation, both nationally and locally.
This year, the lighting of the Peace Bridge in burgundy and gold will be Friday, October 25, from dusk to midnight. In addition to the exceptional concerts, operas, and lectures, our community will enjoy unique offerings, such as "Yoga & Opera" and there will be a special Opera Day concert in Buffalo and Niagara Falls. Bravissimi!
